Great Expectations: Chapters 9-12

Mr. Stone shared a poem about insights he learned while grading at Starbucks.

After prayer, students took a quiz over Chapter 8 of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations.

While students listened to a dramatic audio-recording of Chapters 9 and 10, Mr. Stone passed backed the graded copies of the second quarter book reports, the Romeo and Juliet test, and a printout of each student's semester grade.

Students had more than five minutes at the end of the period to review the latest additions to their grades and raise any concerns they might have.

A few students who had submitted their second quarter book report to Turnitin.com had failed to submit a hardcopy for grading to Mr. Stone. They should bring the hardcopy to Mr. Stone tomorrow so that Mr. Stone might grade it and attempt to get a grade-change completed before report cards are printed.

Homework: Read Chapters 11 & 12 of Great Expectations
