The Final Chapters of To Kill a Mockingbird

Tuesday 4 April 2017 for Periods 2, 5 & 6 and Wednesday 5 April 2017 for Periods 1 & 7

Poem of the Day:  Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay"

Students gathered at the classroom windows to look at emerging tree leaves while Mr. Stone read Frost's poem.  Many of the students were familiar with the poem from reading S. E. Hinton's The Outsiders.

Quiz:  Chapter 28 of To Kill a Mockingbird (No quiz was given over Chapter 27.)

Students listened to Chapters 29 and 30.

Depending on the class period, students completed ten minutes of vocabulary practice on Membean.  Since vacation the Wifi connection at school has been unreliable.

Homework:  Finish reading the last chapter of the novel and complete any missing Membean minutes.  (Students should have completed twenty-five minutes by this point of the week.)

Homework:  Read Chapter 28 and complete any vocabulary practice not completed during class time.

Blog Lapse

My apologies for the lapse in the blog.  I was out of town for my father's funeral.

Sincerely,
